How To Commission A Mural

To get things started, fill in the enquiry form below with any ideas, images and your wall(s) specifications.

Once submitted, I will then be in touch with a few working days to get a better picture if what you would like to commission. This will include filling in a questionnaire detailing sizes, time availability, location, and so on.

We’ll then book in a quick call to start the design process. This will be a great opportunity for us to say hello and come up with some initial layouts.

This can be an ordinary phone call or video call, whichever works best for you.

After this, I will then send over an estimated cost to ensure you are happy with the potential costing before we go any further.

The next step would be seeing the wall(s) or room in person. This would allow us to take photos of the space and think about the practicalities of painting. This visit would also allow us to sketch a rough design using those photos and take any necessary measurements.

If a visit isn't possible, photos and measurements of the space would need to be sent to the artist.

Please note, commissions are primarily available for those living in Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire due to travel distance from my base in Norwich. If you live further than this, please still get in touch and we can look at possible travel and hotel arrangements (additional costs may be applied).

Taking all the information gathered from the visit, I will then go away and come up with a full design within 10 working days. You’ll then be sent this design for approval along with a full quotation of all costs. More than one design can be made to meet slightly different ideas and costs, if appropriate.

You’ll then have 10 working days to review the design and quotation. During this time any alterations can be made to the design. Once you are happy with the design and costings, we can then look to schedule in painting days/times. At this stage, a contract will need to be signed and a non-refundable 50% deposit paid to secure your commission.

Please note, painting times can be booked according to preferences with consideration for travel time. Typically, I work between 8am and 8pm Monday to Saturday (other work commitments dependent).

It’s time to start painting! Sit back and relax as I create the mural over an agreed time period. During this time, only minor alterations can be made to the design, if necessary.

Please note, ‘in progress’ photos and videos will be created during this proccess. Permission from the client will be obtained from the client before doing this.

Once the wall mural has been completed, I will confirm that you are happy with the final product before finishing. At this stage, the final 50% payment will be required.

Similarly to the painting stage, completion photos and/or videos may also be taken for social media and portfolio purposes. Client permission will be obtained before doing this.

Based in Norwich, commissions are focused within East Anglia. However, other locations may be considered. Please get in touch to explore travel options (additional charges may apply).
