The Line That Remains

This piece was created to celebrate the nearly extinct Northern White Rhino. The strong yet peaceful  Athe elf the rhino is shown through this painting whilst the gold metal leaf provides an interpretation of a rustic savannah landscape. 

As the final 2 females reside within Kenya’s Ol Pejeta Conservancy, I also wanted to represent the colourful and vibrant community helping to conserve them today. Tribal patterns from several of the largest Kenyan tribes were brought to life with movement reflected in the material as they wrap around the rhino highlighting their connection for species conservation.

The vibrant colours and wider meaning on this pieces makes it a great large item in any collection.
